Dance Spirit
Dance Spirit is a collection of real-time audio-reactive, abstract visuals.
The visuals are projected onto a large multi-layered mesh screen and as the looming thump of bass washes over the festival, the installation captures and renders the sound as dynamic visual form.
As well as being reactive to the surrounding soundscape, the visuals can also be manipulated by anyone, using a midi-controller.
You, the observer, are invited to play with and explore a multisensory, embodied experience
which melds sound, light, movement, and physical engagement.
At its core, Dance Spirit exists to facilitate imaginative exploration through play, experimentation, and
shared performance.

About the project and how festival attendees will be able to interact with the project?
Dance Spirit is an interactive visual installation that offers an abstract, immersive experience designed for broad audience engagement.
Audiences can engage directly with the visuals using a midi-controller. This simple but sleek controller manipulates certain parameters within the visuals, creating a unique experience for everyone who engages.
Bringing together light, sound, and movement, the work translates the energy of music into dynamic visual forms, evoking the embodied sensation of dance and the shared atmosphere of the dancefloor.
