Spirit of Dance
Spirit of Dance is a collection of audio reactive installations comprising of a unique hand coded visuals.
The visuals react to music in real time, transferring the energy from each beat into a pulse of light,
converting the frequencies into movement, as if the light was dancing.
The audience is encouraged to interact with the visuals by playing with a controller, this controller manipulates aspects of the visuals as the user explores its mechanisms.
Spirit of Dance is a multisensory, tactile experience, which melds sound, light, mind and body.

About the intended project and how festival attendees will be able to interact with the project?
Spirit of Dance at its core is an abstract experience, designed for anyone to explore and enjoy.
Intersecting light, sound and movement, the installation emulates the dance of life, the spark that echoes across the dancefloor and flickers when the bass washes over you. Like the energy that crackles at your fingertips when you dance with all your heart.
Placed in the centre if the installation is a controller, it has four knobs, faders and buttons, these control different aspects of the visuals. Everyone is encouraged to use the controller.
The installation facilitates exploration of the imagination. Experiment and play, perform to one another, each instance, a unique experience.
Spirit of Dance is designed to hypnotise the senses and serve as a space for partygoers to get lost in their thoughts and trip out to some wicked visuals.
I would love for this work to experiment projecting onto different fabrics, such as mesh, this could offer interesting effects and environmental reactivity
